DhruvSharma

Riding roads that lead nowhere, yet everywhere.

Video edit by Dhruv

I study computer science, with a focus on AI and data science, at Graphic Era University in Dehradun. I build tools, train models, take photos, fill sketchbooks, and edit videos. Whatever time is left goes to the gym.

Chapter 1Origin

Dhruv in silhouette, looking up at a bright sun scattered behind clouds

Based in Dehradun, somewhere between data and decisions. My projects range from a model that spots violence in video and a DNA pattern matcher to a focus tracker for the terminal and an infinite canvas for ideas.

Chapter 2The builds

VisioSpace

Aug 2026

An infinite canvas for sorting ideas into affinity maps.

  • Cards, shapes, connectors, and clusters on a Konva scene graph, with pan, zoom, multi-select, and group moves.
  • One Zustand store drives undo and redo for every canvas action, plus a minimap and JSON or PDF export.

Built with React 19, TypeScript, Konva, Zustand

AlertVision

Oct 2025

Flags violence in live video feeds as it happens.

  • ResNet50 + LSTM model trained on real-world footage, 97.73% test accuracy.
  • Full pipeline from preprocessing to frame-level inference, running as a Streamlit demo.

Built with Python, OpenCV, ResNet50, LSTM

Reflow

Sep 2026

An AI agent that recovers failed Razorpay payments without being trusted to approve them.

  • A deterministic policy engine makes every decision; the model only explains it.
  • Nothing the model says can authorize a payment, and every step is auditable.

Built with Python, FastAPI, Nemotron

FocusGuard

Jun 2026

A terminal tool that notices when you are drifting from work.

  • Scores focus from 0 to 100 using six signals, including app switching, commit frequency, and your usual slump hours.
  • Runs as a background service, encrypts its data with SQLCipher, and coaches through a local Ollama model.

Built with Python, SQLCipher, Ollama

GenomeScan

Apr 2026

Finds patterns in DNA sequences with six string-matching algorithms.

  • Naive, KMP, Rabin-Karp, Boyer-Moore, Z, and Aho-Corasick, chosen per request behind a Spring Boot API.
  • 92 tests, including a check that all six algorithms return the same matches.

Built with Java, Spring Boot, H2, Gradle

Chapter 4Darkroom

Photographs, mostly of animals that held still long enough. Select a frame to see it full size.

Tiger, mid-yawn, shot through the enclosure fence.
Water falling past a cave mouth. Look for the rainbow in the spray.
Garden lizard showing off its red on a hedge.
A goat who walked straight up to the lens.
Día de los Muertos Hot Wheels truck parked on the monitor.

Chapter 5Ink

One Piece fan page, ink
Ganesha, pencil linework
Knight and lady, pencil

From the sketchbook

Pencil and pen drawings: dense pattern work, armor and fabric, and manga-style action pages. The comic look of this site is borrowed from them. Select a drawing to see the whole page.

Also: penguins. No particular reason.
